Main active ingredients

Thanks to its broad spectrum, the composition, which ideally combines five hyaluronic acids of low to high molecular weight, generates intense, immediate and long-term hydration and reinforces the body's own hydration mechanisms. Ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid penetrates deep into the skin and helps to absorb and retain moisture at different levels of the epidermis, improving the skin's elasticity and resistance. Medium and high molecular weight hyaluronic acids provide immediate hydration to the epidermis, forming a moisturising film on the skin's surface. This instantly plumps the skin and protects it from moisture loss due to evaporation and other osmotic processes. Moisture remains in the skin over time, transepidermal water loss is reduced and hydration levels are permanently balanced.

Polyglutamic acid (PGA), a natural polymer obtained through a biotechnological process by fermenting soya beans, stands out for its exceptional moisturising action. Polyglutamic acid forms a protective film on the skin's surface to minimise moisture loss and increase the skin's ability to retain moisture, as if there were a sustained release. Scientific studies have shown that thanks to these water-retaining properties, PGA can retain up to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid. This immediately gives the skin a smoother, more elastic appearance. In addition, PGA can inhibit the activity of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that lowers natural hyaluronic acid levels, thereby stabilising and increasing the hyaluronic acid content of the skin. The combination of these two active ingredients therefore has a synergistic moisturising effect. In addition, PGA stimulates the skin's natural moisturising factors (NMFs) and increases its own production, improving the skin's natural hyaluronic acid synthesis.

Niacinamide (2%), also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, is a multi-functional, well-tolerated active ingredient that can reduce the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation spots and other signs of premature skin ageing, and improve the skin's barrier function. It also tightens dilated pores and helps protect the skin against dehydration.

Extract of Centella asiatica, a medicinal plant also known as tiger grass, is obtained from a tropical plant that likes humidity and grows in China and Sri Lanka. Because of its healing and regenerative properties, Centella asiatica is used successfully not only in traditional Chinese medicine, but also in cosmetics, and is now highly appreciated beyond Asia's borders. The soothing, moisturising extract has a strong antioxidant effect, protecting the skin against free radicals and strengthening its barrier function.
